Bobby the dog saw a bird flying in the sky. “I want to fly too!” said Bobby. The bird said, “Dogs do not fly.” Bobby said, “Maybe I am a special dog.” First, Bobby jumped from a small rock. He landed on the grass. “No flying,” he said. Next, he jumped from a chair. He landed in a basket. “No flying, but nice basket.” Then Bobby found two big leaves. He put one leaf on each ear. “Now I have wings!” He climbed onto a low tree branch. The bird shouted, “Bobby, do not jump!” But Bobby jumped. Whoosh! For one second, Bobby felt like a bird. Then… PLOP! He landed in a pile of leaves. The bird flew down and asked, “Are you okay?” Bobby smiled and said, “Yes. I cannot fly, but I can fall very well.” From that day on, Bobby became the best leaf-pile jumper in the park.
