Toby the turtle woke up and said, “Today, I will be fast.” He stretched his legs. One leg. Two legs. Three legs. Four legs. “That was a good workout,” he said. He started walking. Step. Step. Step. A snail watched him. “Wow,” said the snail. “You are moving very fast today.” Toby smiled. “Thank you. I trained all morning.” A rabbit ran by. “Are you two standing still?” asked the rabbit. Toby said, “No. We are racing.” The rabbit laughed and ran away. Toby kept walking. After one hour, he reached a flower. “I did it!” he shouted. The snail clapped slowly. Then the rabbit came back from the forest. “Are you still here?” asked the rabbit. Toby smiled. “Yes, but now I am here with a flower.” The rabbit looked confused. Toby said, “Fast is nice, but slow gives you time to enjoy flowers.”
